We will draw for the basket at the end of February 2026.

Dear Clients,

February is an exciting month. There is lots to celebrate: Valentine’s Day, Lunar New Year and Family Day.  We hope you have a fabulous month.

We want to help you stay healthy between visits.  Each month we’ll feature some care tips from our massage therapists.

The Upper Traps muscle is the tight muscle across the top of your shoulders.  Its action is to lift or shrug your shoulders.  Trigger Points in the upper trapezius muscle can create a headache that feels like it comes up the neck and around the top of the ear in a question-mark pattern.

To perform a basic upper trapezius stretch, sit or stand with your back straight and shoulders relaxed. Gently tilt your head to one side, bringing your ear toward your shoulder, and place your hand on the opposite side of your head to apply gentle pressure for a deeper stretch. Hold this position for 15 to 30 seconds, then repeat on the other side.

Traditional Chinese Medicine talks about Wind as a pathogen that can cause illness. Wearing a scarf to keep the wind off the back of your neck was a traditional preventative measure. Today we know that colds & flu are caused by viruses. However, exposure to cold can put stress on your immune system and may increase the change of catching a cold.

Another good preventative measure is to get plenty of sleep and visit your acupuncturist for a tune-up to keep your immune system strong.
